School Psychologist

Under the direction of the Special Education Director of the NE BOCES or his/her designee, the NE BOCES School Psychologist will work cooperatively with local member school districts to conduct evaluation, develop Individual Education Plans, provide direct and indirect services, complete functional behavior assessments, and develop behavior intervention plans. A Master’s or Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology is preferred. This position is based on a 185 day contract during the school year. Travel is required. Salary is competitive. School Nurse

Under the direction of the Special Education Director of the NE BOCES or his/her designee, the NE BOCES School Nurse will work cooperatively with local member school districts to conduct vision/hearing screenings, prepare and implement health care plans for students, provide medication and health delegation to school staff, and provide supervision of school health services. A Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred, but not required. This position is based on a 185 day contract during the school year. Travel is required. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or other mental health provider

Under the direction of the Special Projects Director of the NE BOCES or his/her designee, the NE BOCES Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or other mental health provider will work cooperatively with participating member school districts to coordinate school safety including crisis prevention, preparedness, intervention and recovery; conduct threat and suicide assessments; coordinate area resources; provide screening and assessment, provide school-based mental health services, facilitate social emotional learning for students; coordinate professional development, and be a school parent community liaison. A Master’s Degree in a mental health field is preferred, but not required. This position is based on a 185 day contract during the school year. Travel is required. Salary is competitive. Early Childhood Special Education Aide

Under the direction of the Special Education Director of the NE BOCES or his/her designee, the NE BOCES Early Childhood Special Education Aide will work cooperatively with a local member school district and preschool to provide specialized support to preschool age students with disabilities. Supervision and training is provided by an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (ECSE). An Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred, but not required. Gifted and Talented Regional Coordinator.

Under the direction of the Executive Director of the NE BOCES or his/her designee, the NE BOCES Gifted and Talented Regional Coordinator will work cooperatively with local member school district staff, parents and the community in order to establish the needs of the gifted students that are not addressed by other sources. Qualifications include possession of current Colorado Teaching License and possession of a Gifted and Talented Education Endorsement or currently working towards an endorsement. This position is based on an 80 day contract. Must be willing to travel. Salary based on education and experience.
