CPI - The Initial Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training

The Initial Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Training is necessary for those who have never taken the class or have not maintained their annual certification. The Initial full 8-9 hour class is also required every other year in the continuous training cycle.

What is Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training?

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training equips you with skills, confidence, and an effective framework to safely manage & prevent difficult behavior, thereby following Colorado’s Protection of Persons from Restraint Act, C.R.S. §§ 26-20-101.

-To attend this training you must be employed within the NE BOCES region.by the schools, preschools, or NE BOCES.

-Class location is at the Haxtun Community Center. 125 E Wilson St, Haxtun, CO 80731

-Times are an estimation of completion but depends on size of class.

-Please bring a lunch or plan to go out to buy something.

-Please wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes or other similar comfortable shoes (NO sandals) that allow for stretching and exercises.

-Classes will be cancelled if less than 6 register. This will be determined 2 days prior to the class. You must include an e-mail address when you want notified of the cancellation through Eventbrite. Preferably this will be the e-mail of the individual taking the class (not the person registering them if different than the attendee).

CPI- Refresher Nonviolent Crisis Intervention

Feb 18 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM

The Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training®—Refresher training courses should be attended to review and expand upon the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training concepts. It is recommended that all participants review course content to refresh their skills every six months. At a minimum, formal refresher courses should be completed once prior to expiration of the initial year training to maintain certification.
